![]() I feel like I'm doing an injustice to the franchise by starting from 3rd birthday but why does it feel appealing for me? Even though I truly saw what flaws the game had and how it is a terrible sequel, it still draws me in to play. I had taken in the points they made and they totally made sense to me. I watched a retrospective video that was made by a big-time PE fan, I assume and they straight out hated it. Not to mention, how brave Aya really is and the way she acts generally and the personality that is shown throughout is not proportional to her actions and capabilities at all. I like the visuals, I like the graphics, I liked the character design(judging from the cover) but even for a first-timer PE player in the franchise, you can feel how the writing is bad. ![]() I did read that it was essentially a spinoff from some series(didn't mind too much attention to it) so that's why I decided to give it a try. ![]() it has been a while since I've stumbled upon such a mechanic in a video game. Love the OST btw.) I liked the gameplay style and the overdive system was a fresh breath of air for me. But after some time, Aya and the music that plays in the menu drew me to playing it. Aya on the front cover with the red bg behind her was really mysterious that it kinda held me away from trying the game tbh. I am a PSP owner and a big-time modder/enjoyer of it, discovered "The 3rd birthday" a few days ago(well, essentially I couldn't bring myself to play it for some kind of reason.
